We provide professional development and self-care strategies via adult Brain Breaks, trainings and webinars. We also offer ongoing support for our partner districts and organizations. Continuing ed unit opportunities available.

For Students

We provide a range of free classroom resources that include learner Brain Breaks, health & wellness curricula,  and Virtual PE. Our mission is to promote social, emotional, and academic development for all learners.

Building Belonging: A Series with Project Wayfinder

Feeling that we belong is foundational to living with purpose. Brandy Arnold will present 3 lessons from Project Wayfinder’s year-long Belonging curricula, which guide students to build meaningful, compassionate relationships with themselves, other people, and the wider world. The Belonging curriculum is suitable for 7th-10th graders.

Lessons are designed to support quick and easy implementation:
-Suitable to be taught as one-off lessons or as a yearlong program
-Each lesson is backed by evidence-based research and social science
-Extensive classroom tools to build a positive and safe classroom culture

Neuroscience of Stress & the Reciprocity of Self-Care

In this 60-minute, interactive RIDE-sponsored session, learn about the neuroscience of stress and the critical healing factors. Participants will engage in strategies to support the reciprocity of wellbeing, having an awareness of stressors, and the effect on the body and nervous system. They will understand the neuroscience behind why simple breathe, move, and rest strategies are effective tools for stress management and self-regulation to build resilience.

Culture of Care Institute

This four-part Culture of Care training prepares educators to deliver breathing, mindful movement, and relaxation exercises. Participants in the training will learn and be able to communicate how this approach promotes social-emotional learning (SEL) in the classroom. In this virtual setting, each session includes a self-care practice for participants, as well as time for Q & A and practical implementation strategies. Participants will become familiar with the Pure Edge online resource library to support establishing a Culture of Care at their school site.

Culture of Care Summer Institute II

Please join us Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for a 12-session series. We know that balancing the needs of online instruction and planning for a return in the fall is challenging. This series will help you build knowledge to integrate self-care and social-emotional learning skills into your online and in-person classes. Every session is free and live.

MindUP: Building Bridges and Healthy Minds

This webinar will address the critical importance of our mental health, especially with the recent challenges of the global pandemic and racial injustices that have caused trauma amongst us all. Through a lens of equity, we will explore various ways to build bridges across differences, while also building and fostering healthy minds.
