Unit 6 develops skills related to social awareness and community. Students explore the ways they are impacted by the people around them and the various communities of which they are members, explore how communities can grow healthier and stronger, and begin to understand the importance of diversity in a community and the value of collaboration. Students discover ways they can contribute to their communities and ways that communities can work together to meet needs with compassion.
